On the 17th February 2015 Cisco announced the retirement of the CCNA Video Certification effective on the 14th of August 2015. Anyone holding a valid CCNA Video Certifications will automatically be awarded the CCNA Collaboration certification, this certification will however only be valid for the same certification period as your CCNA Video Certification. You must therefore ensure you recertify the CCNA collaboration certification before your CCNA Video certification expires.

The adoption of video into organisation's collaboration solutions is growing. Cisco have recognised the need for collaboration professionals with an understanding of video and its integration into a collaboration solution. This associate level certification is a job-role focused and provides training on Cisco's video and collaboration products.
Basic IP knowledge is required, the following courses are recommended:
- Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices - Part 1 (ICND1)
- Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices - Part 2 (ICND2)
Required Exams and Recommended Training
CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass any 642 professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE written exam.
