Overview The Operational Foundations for Cisco Service Provider Core Networks (OFCN) course introduces level-two personnel to the service provider network operations environment, processes, and management tools and methods and enables students to practice the primary job roles and tasks. The course helps prepare students for the CCNP® SP Operations certification exam. CCNP certification in SP Operations validates basic knowledge and skills of a Tier 2 support engineer in a prescriptive

Pre-Requisites

The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course are as follows:

  • IP networking fundamentals
  • Operations process knowledge, represented by eTOM and/or ITIL® training or recommendations
  • Troubleshooting methodology knowledge or experience as applied to IP network environments
  • UNIX and/or Linux operating system experience or general familiarity

To gain the prerequisite skills and knowledge, Cisco strongly recommends the knowledge of the following courses:

  • Supporting Cisco Service Provider IP NGN Operations (SSPO)
