Overview This lab-intensive course introduces you to the Cisco® CRS-1 Carrier Routing System and its features and functions. You will learn the important theoretical concepts that the Cisco CRS-1 is based on and gain the practical knowledge and skills to successfully deploy it in your network. You will be able to determine the right Cisco CRS-1 based on the requirements of your network.
This course combines lecture materials and hands-on labs throughout to ensure that you are able to successfully deploy a Cisco CRS-1 Carrier Routing System network.
Pre-Requisites
The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course are as follows:
- Basic knowledge of router installation and some experience with installation tools
- Routing protocol configuration experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), IS-IS, and OSPF
- Knowledge of BGP multihomed, multiautonomous system configurations
- Strong knowledge of MPLS configuration or Multicast configuration experience
- Knowledge of Cisco Router security implementation, including authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) and TACACS
- Experience troubleshooting Cisco routers in a large network environment
